AiCuris was founded in 2006 and is specialised on infectious diseases. The company's activities comprises discovery, research and development of novel antiviral and antibacterial agents in the indications HIV, Herpes, Hepatitis B and C, Human Cytomegalovirus and (multi)resistant bacterial infections treated in the hospital. The highly innovative pipeline of AiCuris addresses specialist markets and serve, potentially life threatening infections with high medical need.

Currently AiCuris is offering for one position:

Medical Expert (m/f) for Phase II/III trials

The role of this individual is to provide medical input and scientific concepts for AiCuris projects. Furthermore, he/she will successfully design, conduct and report international clinical trials in the respective subject area in collaboration with the AiCuris project team, external consultants, service providers, and ethical / regulatory bodies.

He/she will report to the Head of Clinical Investigations and Clinical Operations Phase II/III, respectively and 

• is responsible for conceiving the clinical development program for our drugs and projects in development
• be a medical expert/advisor/reviewer regarding the protocol, the disease, the trial data, and the drug 
• is responsible for conceiving scientific concepts, medical support of the clinical conduct, supervision of clinical trial management, data evaluation, and document writing for trials in close collaboration with colleagues and CROs
• takes over responsibility for medical and clinical questions in the project teams and the integration of these aspects in protocols, reports, IB, IMPD, and IND 
• represent medical and scientific aspects at meetings, agencies, and on congresses

Skills and Qualifications

• MD degree, dissertation will be a plus
• at least two years of experience in the respective fields of clinical trials
• for the Medical Expert work experience at a hospital categorized for the maximal health care (e.g. University clinic esp. at internal medicine) would be beneficial
• ability to work in team in house as well as with people from CROs, experts and opinion leaders 
• good organisational and communication skills, capable of setting priorities and to manage high workload
• positive & constructive attitude, people management competencies and trustworthy
• business fluent in English and German
