He/she will report to the Chief Medical Officer

AiCuris was founded in 2006 and is specialised on infectious diseases. The company's activities comprises discovery, research and development of novel antiviral and antibacterial agents in the indications HIV, Herpes, Hepatitis B and C, Human Cytomegalovirus and (multi)resistant bacterial infections treated in the hospital. The highly innovative pipeline of AiCuris addresses specialist markets and serve, potentially life threatening infections with high medical need.

Currently AiCuris is offering a position as

Senior Statistician / Biometrician

He/she will report to the Chief Medical Officer and

  • provides statistical input in all development programs and trial projects of AiCuris
  • provides input and guide the development, validation and reconciliation of AiCuris databases
  • communicates statistical concepts to team members, consultants, external service providers, and authorities
  • is responsible for biometric planning and analysing of primarily international clinical phase II/III trials
  • helps to prepare and reviews trial documents such as protocols, statistical analysis plans, reports, publications from a statistical point of view
  • acts as a consultant in all statistical questions within the clinical and non-clinical development
  • coordinates and controls statistical activities of CROs and other external partners
  • coordinates data management across all studies and clinical trials
  • ensures the compliance of data management and statistical aspects with national and international requirements for trials and development programs

Skills and Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD degree in biometrics, statistics or mathematics
  • comprehensive working knowledge of biostatistical methodology and data management in international clinical trials for several years
  • familiar with international guidelines, guidance and other regulations in place for statistical aspects 
  • experiences in SAS programming and similar database structure
  • ability to work in team in house as well as with people from CROs, experts and opinion leaders
  • analytical skills as well as good organisational and communication skills, capable of setting priorities and to manage high workload
  • positive & constructive attitude, people management competencies and trustworthy
  • business fluent in English and German
