AiCuris (name derived from 'anti-infective cures') is a pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, research and development of novel antiviral and antibacterial agents for the treatment of severe and potentially life-threatening infectious diseases. AiCuris has its roots in Bayer's long history of successful anti-infective drugs. Spun out in 2006 AiCuris owns a broad portfolio of R&D programs, compounds and intellectual property. The research fields in question are human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), hepatitis C, HIV, herpes and bacteria. We will on the one hand take existing heritage of anti-infective projects further through clinical development (actual up to phase II) and has on the other hand a strong commitment to identify new drugs by in-house discovery research.

Main tasks & responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing contact for trial specific issues by serving as the primary contact for external provider(s), all external and internal trial team members
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise all processes needed trial start-up, trial maintenance and trial close-outs activities from Sponsor perspective
• Give CTM input to assigned international trial(s) for timelines [mainly region of conduct: North-America, Asia],
• Have an overview on trial budget and quality data
• Assist to Service Provider performance supervision with respect to implemented processes, their quality, timelines and costs; propose corrective actions at earliest possible time point

Experience & competences

• Bachelors/Masters in Science, Medical or Health related field
• Advanced knowledge in pharmaceutical research (>5 years)
• +3 years experience in planning, conducting, and/or analysis clinical trials (by being active involved at e.g. trial set-up, investigator meetings, trial conduct, trial co-ordination for data management and central laboratory, medical writing)
• Experience in clinical trial management
• Familiar with legal, GCP and ICH requirements
• Team-minded and able to work on own responsibility, pro-active and adapt to changing requirements
• Excellent German and English (oral and written)
