| 05.01.2009 - 04.01.2020AiCuris employes new CMO 5 January 2009 Dr. Manickam Rangaraju to join AiCuris as CMOWuppertal, 5th January 2009. As of this date Dr. Manickam Rangaraju will assume the responsibility of Chief Medical Officer at AiCuris, Germany. Dr. Rangaraju has 17 years of experience in clinical development at Roussel Uclaf, Hoechst, Marion Roussel, Aventis and Novexel. He has been responsible for the clinical and preclinical development of a number of antimicrobials and regulatory submissions including Ketek®. Recently, at Novexell he has been responsible for bringing two compounds into phase I and one compound into phase II. He was also actively involved in licensing out of two compounds. "We are very pleased to see Dr. Rangaraju join the team at AiCuris as he has not only long-standing experience in the development of anti-infective compounds in a Large Pharma environment, but has also successfully directed development in a smaller company," comments AiCuris CEO, Prof. Rübsamen-Schaeff. I am looking forward to work with the team to develop and add value to the rich pipeline of AiCuris" adds Dr. Manickam Rangaraju. AiCuris (name for: anti-infective cures) was founded in 2006. The company is active in research and development for drugs against diseases caused by viruses and bacteria, with a total of 10 development compounds at present. The most advanced is in phase II.
